Known limitations

Version 1 does not OCR image-only pages, interpret arbitrary images, or support every proprietary document format.
Encrypted, malformed, unsupported, or incompletely parsed files block verification rather than being treated as clean.
VERIFIED_FOR_OWNER_RELEASE_REVIEW is not legal authorization and cannot prove that unnamed sensitive concepts are absent.

Does it redact the document?

No. It independently verifies the final artifact and never changes it.

Which formats are supported?

Version 1 supports standard PDF and unencrypted DOCX files.

Does it inspect hidden information?

Yes. Covered surfaces include metadata, comments, revisions, forms, annotations, attachments, active content, embedded objects, and extracted or raw text.

Does it use OCR?

No. Image-only pages require a separate authorized OCR and visual review.

Why is a SHA-256 hash included?

It binds the report to the exact file reviewed so later changes are detectable.

Does a verified result authorize release?

No. A responsible owner and any required legal or privacy reviewer must still approve release.
